Is representative democracy good for workers?

The rise of DSA, and right-populist candidates is an interesting one. But is it beneficial for the workers? We've seen how easy it is for capitalists to buy off potential agents of change. Bernie's been in politics for years, and Donald Trump hasn't lived up to expectations. Both of them have made concessions to neo-liberalism.

The right-libertarian philosopher Hans Hermann Hoppe made a reasonable argument for monarchy. A monarch has a better incentive to take care of the people, whereas the elected representative does not. The nation gets passed down through the family, which makes caution important. Bhutan takes the happiness of it's people into account. The last King of Sikkim increased literacy during his reign.

Emulating the Mondragon Corporation , and other successful worker's co-operatives would probably do more. Elections might serve a purpose, but other methods are better for change. Workers co-operatives, universal basic income, automation and monarchy are things to strive for. All of these things can liberate the proletariat from bosses, and politics.
